I am still working on updating each needle minders tax classification. As mentioned, this cannot be done via bulk edit, I must do this task item by item. This job is massive and repetitive and I must pace myself to avoid flaring up my sore hands. I thank everyone for their patience while I work through these.
When they do re-launch, I will include information here on how it will work and what it might look like!

I am still working on updating each needle minder to reflect the correct fees to be charged factoring in the fees/charges with tarrifs. I am not expecting to be ready for the 25th, as this job is labor intensive. There is no bulk edit option to change tax classifications on this system. I thank you for your continued patience!

Exciting news! We have received word that Australia Post intends to resume shipments to the US on Thursday September 25th. UXS is currently working on how to apply the new DDP rate to physical products only and will aim to re-open shipments to the US around this time.

Australia Post has partnered with ZONOS to collect DDP. I have now registered with ZONOS so I am ready to hit the ground running once Australia Post reopens shipments to the US.
The fee per lodgement seems minimal so there should not be too much impact on the cost of a shipment. We will announce on Facebook and here when Australia Post reopens to the US!

There have been no further announcements from Australia Post. I am monitoring Australia Post, Etsy and eBay and will move as required and when able. If I need to sell minders and physical product on marketplaces to overcome these fees this is an option, I will investigate those posibilities. We are still currently closed to shipping to the US.

The Trump administration announced a global shut down of exemptions on low value items from tariffs and duties. This means that all incoming orders from Australia for the next six months will have an $80USD fee applied to it at the border along with applicable taxes, duties and customs fees. After the six month period, it will move to a 10% rule but will require Duties to be Paid by the SELLER. Previously all applicable fees, charges etc were paid for by the CUSTOMER at the customs border in the US. This creates a very complex system as each US state also has varying tax rates, and it may be very difficult to deploy a system as a small business, that can properly collect all these fees, charges etc.
We are monitoring the situation and will post updates as they come to hand. Our priority is to continue to serve you in the best possible way, and to as soon as practicable reopen to US trade.
