If you’ve reached out recently with a design request — first, thank you. It genuinely means a lot that you’d like to see more of my work brought to life.
Right now, though, my focus has shifted into high gear, and I’ve been turning people down. I’ll confirm if I have the art, I’ll request the art from existing artists, but I won’t offer a turn around or even a vague date. Why?
I’m currently putting my time into updating and maintaining the designs already in my collection. After many years of building this catalogue, it’s important to me that everything remains accurate, accessible, and true to the quality I’ve always aimed for and CONSISTENT. I want all product descriptions to match in layout. I want all PDF files to match and most recently, I changed from individual files to them all being in a Zip Folder. So, this has been almost a layering effect in changes. Even my photos changed as I became Markup R-XP compatible. So, trying to get part way through and then re-start because of another improvement had me pulling out my hair.
Like many small creative businesses, things have changed significantly in recent years. I’m working hard behind the scenes to keep this business financially sustainable — and one of my biggest priorities is to do that without increasing prices.
The reality is that staying sustainable doesn’t come from doing more custom work — it comes from ongoing support for the designs that already exist.
Every purchase directly contributes to keeping the business running, allowing me to continue maintaining and improving the collection, and ensuring that I don’t have to pass rising costs on to you.
If you’ve ever had your eye on a design or have been meaning to pick one up someday, now truly makes a difference.
Your support right now is what allows this work to continue.
Thank you for being part of it and I can’t wait to be able to open to requests again once this punishing update process is finished!
